Imanami, the leader in secure group management, today announced the availability of SmartDL 4.0 enabling organizations to automate the creation and management of Distribution Lists and Security Groups. Accurate lists and groups enhance the security and productivity of group communications by ensuring that employees receive the correct information exactly when they need it.
Using SmartDL's simple and powerful Query Designer, IT departments create rules for populating groups in Active Directory. If an employee changes jobs, locations, or any other attribute, they are automatically removed from their old groups and placed in the appropriate new ones. The powerful new features added to SmartDL 4.0 extend Imanami's lead in the secure group management field. Newly added features are notification of unused groups, enhanced auditing capabilities, password reset notification, improved dynasty options, and the ability to query multiple sources. SmartDL's .Net 2.0 Framework now shares the same code-base with Imanami's award-winning static group management application, WebDir, allowing an organization to utilize Imanami's product suite to manage a truly effective group management environment.
