Microsoft will deliver Imanami's directory management software, WebDir, to select Exchange Server customers for enhanced and customized group management functionality through a web-based front-end. This partnership provides Exchange Server customers with a self-service portal, allowing IT departments to delegate group management to end users while maintaining the appropriate level of security and control over field management. This service-oriented operational model takes the burden and time consuming task of directory management away from Human Resources and IT departments greatly streamlining the processes. WebDir empowers end users to maintain their information and provides dynamic updating capability for distribution lists, which frees-up valuable IT resources to focus on higher impact activities.
