OProfile
OProfile configures Outlook so users, administrators and help desk personnel don't have to.
OProfile creates Outlook profiles for users, no matter what machine they log into. Create one profile for your whole organization and let OProfile configure Outlook for you. OProfile can create a profile with a custom PST file such as c:\username.pst or c:\winnt\profiles\username\my documents\outlook\username.pst While the files will have different names (based on the username) they will always be in the same location, so your users always have the correct profile no matter which machine they are using.

Automate profile generation with OProfile, which allows all users to have their own Outlook profiles. Administrators no longer need to configure a profile for each user. OProfile is ideal for provisioning new employees and new PCs and for situations where there are multiple people using the same machine. Your users will have access to Outlook from any machine on the network and will never need to call technical support for access to e-mail again.
Once OProfile is deployed it runs every time a user logs on to a machine, checking to make sure Outlook is installed and configured. If Outlook is not installed OProfile simply exits, if it is installed and not configured, then OProfile configures Outlook for the user logging on, according to the administrator's specifications. OProfile can even launch Outlook afterwards assuring that users check their mail. OProfile is a must have in situations where multiple users use the same machine such as Kiosk machines and terminal servers. |
