SmartDL automates the creation and maintenance of Microsoft's Exchange and Active Directory distribution lists and security groups. In addition to increasing efficiency company-wide, using Smart DL significantly reduces support calls
to system administrators and help desks by automating many of today's manual and redundant administrative tasks.
Smart DL allows System Administrators to become proactive in managing distribution lists and security groups. Administrators can assign a dynamic membership to a distribution list. For example, you could create a distribution list that contains everyone on a particular Exchange server or everyone in a particular department
or business unit. SmartDL will then keep this information current, so the right people receive the right information.SmartDL can even work with data sources such as LDAP, iPlanet, Sequel and Oracle.
Multilevel Dynasties enhance existing dynasties. A Dynasty is a distribution list that creates and manages other distribution lists. You can create a Dynasty based on any field and SmartDL will scan the directory for every unique value of that field. It will then create a distribution
list for each value and keep it up-to-date, creating new distribution lists and
deleting ones that are no longer needed.
