Imported Source Queries
When data is stored in sources that are outside of Active Directory, SmartDL can query those sources AND Active Directory. A SmartDL query can contain multiple fields from sources outside of Active Directory, creating a very flexible robust system. The external data sources include CSV files, Text files, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, LDAP, SunONE iPlanet, and any ODBC compliant Data Source. |

Integrated SmartDL Group Usage Service
Need tools to manage your existing groups? Group Usage Service has now been integrated into SmartDL. Group Usage Service monitors when mail is sent to a group, and updates the timestamp on the group. Use SmartDL reporting to view your unused groups. |

Password Reset Support Notification
Notify users via email that their password is about to expire. Using the SmartDL Query Designer, SmartDL will create a list of accounts with expiring passwords and send reminders to update. |

Enhanced Logging for Auditing
SmartDL logging can now provide audit trail information. Data specifying who made changes, when they made the change, what they made changes to and what the original value was are stored in the event log. |

Enhanced Managerial Dynasty

Flexible Dynasties
Dynasties take the complexity out of the most common Distribution Lists. A Dynasty automatically creates distribution lists based on the most common criteria (manager, organization, location, etc). For example, a location Dynasty will automatically create lists for global, region, country, state, city, and office location. The flexibility of our Dynasties allows you to name the individual lists based on any field within Active Directory. |

Transfer Ownership Wizard
Need to change the ownership of all the groups a user owns? No problem, the Transfer Ownership Wizard allows you transfer ownership of all groups owned by one user to another, in one step. Simply enter and individual's name into the field and the Wizard will locate all the groups they are in as well as all the groups they own. Simply select the specific groups that need to have a new owner assigned, pick the new owner(s) and automatically, the Transfer Ownership Wizard will make the changes for you! |

Multi-level Dynasty Support
Organizations often have groups that are actually made up of several smaller groups. For example, if you had a group of sales people for the company, this group could be identified by State, City, Zip code, etc. The multi-level Dynasty features will allow you to identify how you to identify (by one or more fields) the "sub-groups" and will automatically group individuals create the smaller groups under the primary Dynasty. |

Create a group for every department in seconds
A SmartDL dynasty creates a group or distribution for every district
value of the field you specify. Need a group for every department?
Group the Dynasty by the department field and SmartDL will create
a group for each distinct value of department in the directory. When
a new department is created a new group is created - automatically!
All the groups created inherit delivery restrictions and other properties
from their parent. |
