Netwrix Acquires Imanami to Enable Customers to Further Strengthen Active Directory Security, Both On Premises and in the Cloud

FRISCO, Texas, November 1, 2022 – Netwrix, a cybersecurity vendor that makes data security easy, today announced the acquisition of Imanami, a software vendor that helps IT teams easily and accurately manage their Active Directory and Azure AD users and groups. This acquisition deepens Netwrix expertise in AD and data security and expands its ability to help customers protect their IT environments and respond to cyber threats. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Netwrix customers will benefit from using Imanami’s group management solution, GroupID, to remediate security risks while reducing manual effort from the IT team. For example, GroupID can automatically remove excessive access to overexposed sensitive data identified by Netwrix products.
At the same time, Imanami customers will benefit by adding Netwrix products to enhance the value of GroupID and make more informed decisions. In particular, they will be able to identify resources that need automated group management and lifecycle policies applied, spot risky entitlements, and get clear context about which users are using their sensitive data access rights.
